The Challenge
Hydrocarbons have created many challenges in our environment. As we have used and continue to use hydrocarbon products throughout the world these products have in many cases presented us with very costly challenges in remediating contamination as result of using, producing, manufacturing, refining, pumping, and transporting these products. Today in many cases the remediation of these problems are extremely costly and creates waste that must be landfilled or disposed of by some other means.
Plutus Solutions
Plutus© began working on these tremendous challenges many years ago with dedication and intensity to try to solve these challenges. Our Plutus© engineers have created solutions that can significantly impact the way these challenges are remediated today:
- E Safe© is used for any hydrocarbon based clean-up as well as a cost effective solution for any remediation of soil contaminated by hydrocarbon spills. With the use of E Safe© in most cases the contaminated material once treated does not require disposal.
- Sheen Magic© is used for any petroleum based spills in water. It provides quick and effective removal of sheens normally associated with petroleum based (hydrocarbon) spills. With the use of Sheen Magic no further treatment is normally required.
- MWA© Monitor Well Additive© is the tested non-hazardous solution for problems resulting from hydrocarbon contamination of groundwater. MWA© will typically lower the hydrocarbon concentration faster than any other product or treatment method.
Hydrocarbon Remediation on Land
E-SAFE© is used for the remediation of soil contaminated by fuel spills, gasoline or diesel. Whether the contamination is caused by traffic or industrial accidents, mining or oil industry situations, farm or construction mishaps….this proprietary formulation rapidly drops the hydrocarbon PPM to acceptable levels and eventually completely destroys the hydrocarbon contaminant. E-SAFE© is used on all continents except Antarctica. E-SAFE© may be used on soil, dry or wet roadways and may be applied in rainy or frozen conditions. The rainfall or ice melt will assist the biological activity resulting from the E-SAFE© treatment. No harm will come to the environment, wildlife, aquatic life or humans.
Hydrocarbon Remediation on Water
Each year millions of gallons of Hydrocarbons are released into the waters of the earth. These spills are the result of accidents as well as natural disasters. One (1) gallon of fuel will cause a spill that covers many acres. The practice of using a spray of detergent to “sink” the spill is environmentally hazardous, deadly to aquatic life and is illegal….punishable by severe fines and levies. Plutus introduces a safe product that destroys hydrocarbon sheens on contact. The product, SHEEN MAGIC© Oil & Gas Eliminator, is US-EPA Listed, California Licensed, accepted by the United Kingdom Environmental Agency, and accept world wide as the product of choice for cleanup of hydrocarbon polluted waters.
UST/Sub-Surface Contamination Treatment
Monitor wells are sealed, concrete encased well pipes that extend into the ground to the groundwater level. These wells are found at most fueling stations, bulk fuel depots, convenience stores, airports, power production locations, industrial sites, landfills and waste dump sites, industrial sites and heavy manufacturing facilities. The monitor wells are designed to allow access to groundwater gradients. The function of these wells is to allow sampling of the groundwater in order to determine the amount of hydrocarbon in the water, which is also known as the aquifer. Plutus provides MWA© Monitor Well Additive for treatment of monitor wells. Contamination is reduced, as are remediation costs, reduced assessments or fines, and a cleaner environment is the end result.
Oil-Contaminated Flora & Fauna
Each year hundreds of waterfowl and mammals are trapped and killed in oil spills. The conventional method is to wash the bird or animal in a hot water detergent solution. The mortality rate of this process is often greater than fifty percent (50%). Sheen Magic© may be used in wildlife cleaning operations in a diluted water bath using water from the site at ambient temperature. Hot water is not recommended as this is detrimental to the health and safety of the injured animal.
Millions of dollars are spent each year in an effort to save grass and plants from hydraulic oil drips and other hydrocarbon sprays or mists. Plutus provides products that neutralize damage from these pollutants. A spray and wipe will remove the pollutant without additional damage to the plant.
