Each year, hundreds of waterfowl and mammals are trapped and killed in oil spills. The conventional method is to wash the bird or animal in a hot water detergent solution. The mortality rate of this process is often greater than fifty percent (50%). Sheen Magic© may be used in wildlife cleaning operations in a diluted water bath using water from the site at ambient temperature. Hot water is not recommended as this is detrimental to the health and safety of the injured animal.
